Compliance with minimum social standards and occupational safety standards
The ILO labour standards at the production site are complied with.
Four basic principles underpin the ethos and actions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO):
- Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
- Elimination of forced labour
- Abolition of child labour
- Elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
Eight common features (core labour standards) can be derived from these basic principles. For natureplus certification, all ILO stipulated requirements must be met without exception.
