Products made from organohalogen compounds should be avoided due to numerous ecological disadvantages during the production cycle as well as for disposal and recycling. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is generally undesirable as a constituent of products. For windows and doors, the requirement also applies to seals. Excluded are small parts such as glazing blocks or clips for aluminum frames.
