| Description of the area of application: | The material-efficient LIGNO® Acoustic classic ribbed cross-laminated timber elements are primarily used in commercial buildings (such as halls) for load-bearing, sound-absorbing roof structures—ideal when both structural function and acoustic performance need to be achieved in a single component. This eliminates the need for suspended ceilings. The product can be used in solid timber, timber frame, or skeleton constructions, as well as on timber or steel trusses. The underside features a profiled surface with factory-integrated acoustic absorbers. | ||
| Product description of manufacturer: | The ribbed elements feature five webs at lower heights; for greater heights, the cross-section is designed as a cross-laminated timber box element with three load-bearing webs. On the underside, five timber slats form the factory-finished visible surface of the component. The top side is closed with a cover plate, forming the structural body of the element. Longitudinal channels between the webs can accommodate installations and insulation. At the lateral joint between elements, an additional absorber strip is inserted. The gap is bridged with a joint batten, which also connects the elements into a structural diaphragm. | ||
