| Description of the area of application: | LIGNO® Block is a load-bearing, multi-layered bonded panel element with a visible surface, typically designed to be acoustically effective. It is primarily used in timber roof constructions and is especially well-suited for buildings with acoustic performance requirements, such as schools, daycare centers, offices, assembly halls, or administrative buildings. Thanks to its internal structure of cross-laminated layers, the element offers high dimensional stability and robustness. | ||
| Product description of manufacturer: | LIGNO® Block is a material-efficient cross-laminated timber box element for roof structures that combines load-bearing capacity with interior design quality. It is made up of multiple layers of solid wood, bonded crosswise for strength and stability. The visible underside is factory-finished either as a smooth wood surface or—more commonly—with finely profiled slats backed by an absorber, delivering effective sound absorption for improved room acoustics. This makes LIGNO® Block particularly suitable for schools, daycare centers, halls, offices, and event spaces. The product is also ideal for areas with high structural loads and large spans. It can be configured to meet demanding fire and sound insulation requirements, contributing to both safety and comfort within the building. | ||
